Many of you already know Nicole Gaudreault, a respected figure in the industry who has spent more than 30 years at The Hartford, where she has built an extensive career in reinsurance. Recently, she hit another milestone by joining the AIRROC Board of Directors, bringing broad experience in both legacy and reinsurance. Her background will play a key role in guiding AIRROC forward.
Nicole started her career in 1993 in reinsurance accounting, when First State Insurance Company, part of The Hartford, went into runoff. A phase that continues today. This early experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the long-term nature of legacy liabilities and the patience needed to manage them. Over the years, she has gradually taken on more responsibilities at The Hartford. She is currently Assistant Vice President and leads the ceded reinsurance claims team for both the legacy and current reinsurance portfolios.
Nicole’s interest in building connections and sharing knowledge also led her to become more involved with AIRROC. After periodically attending AIRROC educational programs over the years, she became a regular conference attendee. She increasingly recognized the value of bringing industry peers together to build relationships, exchange experiences, and work through matters face-to-face. Now, as a member of the Board, Nicole can contribute to an organization she has been involved with for many years. She especially supports AIRROC’s continued efforts to engage young professionals and pass institutional knowledge to the next generation as experienced legacy professionals approach retirement.
Outside of work, Nicole lives near Boston with her husband. They have two sons and a dog named Aela. As you may have guessed, she is also a dedicated Boston sports fan who cheers on the Red Sox and Bruins at many of their home games.
Welcome aboard Nicole! We are delighted you joined the team!
